On October 1, 2026, join La Mar Bellevue and Ilegal Mezcal for a special dinner celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. For one night only, Peruvian cuisine and Mexican mezcal come together to honor the flavors, traditions, and shared spirit of Latin America.

Peruvian Roots, Mexican Inspiration

Chefs Kaoru Chang and Jean Paul Fung will present a menu inspired by La Mar’s Peruvian roots and their time exploring and cooking in Mexico City. Expressions of Ilegal Mezcal will accompany the menu throughout the evening, bringing the distinctive character of Mexican agave to the table.

The collaboration explores the connections between two culinary traditions, each with its own identity and history. Shared ingredients, including corn and peppers, offer a starting point for a menu shaped by the chefs’ experiences and appreciation for Mexican cuisine.

An Evening of Food, Heritage, and Connection

At its heart, this dinner celebrates the pleasure of gathering around the table. It also pays tribute to the local Mexican community and our Mexican colleagues at La Mar Bellevue, whose culture and contributions help make this collaboration meaningful.

We invite you to join us for an evening of thoughtful cooking, mezcal, and shared stories in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
