A Harvest Festival on the San Francisco Waterfront
In wine-producing regions across South America, harvest season is not simply the end of a cycle, it is a beginning. Known as La Vendimia, the celebration honors the people, craft, and community behind the grapes that will become wine and Pisco.
On Sunday, March 29, La Mar San Francisco brings this tradition to the waterfront with a full-restaurant festival dedicated to Peru’s most iconic spirit.
Guests will move freely throughout the dining room and patio, discovering tasting stations hosted by multiple Pisco producers. Each attendee receives a La Mar tasting glass and is invited to explore styles, aromas, and expressions while speaking directly with the makers behind them.
Throughout the afternoon, the experience unfolds like a true harvest gathering. Traditional food stations and passed bites showcase coastal Peruvian flavors, while live music fills the patio and sets the rhythm of the celebration. At the center of it all, a classic ritual — the grape stomping contest — invites guests to take part in the harvest spirit firsthand.
La Vendimia is not a seated tasting or formal dinner. It is meant to wander, to toast, to learn, and to celebrate together, a reflection of how Pisco culture lives in Peru.
